How to use The White Rabbit for SEO (Smart SEO Switch)
Smart SEO Switch (SSS) is The White Rabbit (TWR) traffic source for people working with organic search. It splits your campaign into two pages: the Safe Page, which is the content optimized for search engines, and the Offer Page, which is your sales page. Both live under a single address, on your own domain.
What it is for
SEO is the work of getting a page to show up in search engine results without paying per click. It calls for content: text, structure, keywords. A sales page calls for the opposite, being clean, fast and direct. These demands pull against each other: on a single page, one limits the other.
Smart SEO Switch keeps the two apart. You build each one wherever you prefer to host it, create the campaign pointing to both, and TWR returns one address on your domain, with the path you choose:
https://yoursite.com/how-to-sleep-better/
That address is the page: you publish it on your site and work it the way you would any other. Whoever arrives from search lands on it and gets your sales page.
Before you start
- A domain registered in TWR (how to register).
- Your content page built and hosted.
- Your sales page built and hosted.
- The topic of the page defined in a few words, the way someone would search for it. That is what goes in the address, in step 6.
Step by step
1. Create the campaign and pick the domain
In Campaigns, click New campaign, give it a name and select the Domain it will live on.

2. Select the Smart SEO Switch (SSS) traffic source
Under Traffic source, choose Smart SEO Switch™ (SSS).

3. Set up audience segmentation
Under Audience segmentation, pick the Device and the Country. Only visits matching that segmentation reach the sales page.

4. Fill in the Safe Page and the Offer Page
Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
Safe Page URL | The address of your content page. |
Offer Page URL | The address of your sales page. |

5. Choose the delivery method
The delivery method decides how TWR serves the page at that address. There is no redirect in this source, and that is deliberate: the address you publish has to be the page itself, not a route to it. That leaves two methods:
Method | How it works | What happens to the path |
|---|---|---|
Mirror | Serves your page content at the campaign address itself, without changing what shows in the browser. Nothing to install. | You customize it in Custom Path, in step 6. |
Unpack | Generates a file you install on your site's hosting. Instead of the page URLs, you enter where the files are. | You set it directly on your hosting, with no format limits. There is no Custom Path in this method. |
TWR marks Unpack as the default for this source: with the files on your own hosting, the address is entirely yours to define. In exchange, it asks for the extra step of uploading the file, covered in the Unpack method article.
From here on this walkthrough follows the Mirror, which needs no install and gets the campaign live faster. If you go with Unpack, skip step 6.

6. Choose the path of the address in Custom Path (Mirror)
Without this option, TWR generates a random path, something like /tm4zna3q8d/, which says nothing about the content. Since this address gets published and read by the search engine, use the topic of the page instead.
Click Show advanced options, turn on Custom Path and type the path, starting with the slash: /how-to-sleep-better.
Address | |
|---|---|
Without Custom Path |
|
With Custom Path |
|
Write it in lowercase, with words separated by hyphens and no accents.

7. Save the campaign and copy the address
Click Save campaign. The address shows up under Campaign URL, with a copy button.

8. Publish the address on your site
The campaign address is a page on your site like any other. Publish it and work it the way you already work your content pages.
