How to use The White Rabbit on upsell pages (Upsell Funnel)
Upsell Funnel is The White Rabbit (TWR) traffic source for upsell pages, the ones shown after the buyer completes a payment. The campaign URL doesn't go in your ad: it goes in your payment platform. Only visitors who arrive with the parameter you define see the real offer.
Before you start
- A domain registered in TWR (how to register).
- The URL of your current upsell page.
- A Safe Page to receive unwanted access.
Step by step
1. Find the parameter your payment platform sends
Make a test purchase and look at the upsell page URL when it opens. Most platforms append parameters to the URL after the purchase, with names like token, product_id or offer. Write down the key (the name before the =) and the value (what comes after).
If your platform doesn't send any parameter, or you can't find one in the URL, you can go without it and filter by device and country only (step 6).
2. Create the campaign and select the Upsell Funnel traffic source
Create a new campaign, name it, select the domain and, under Traffic source, choose Upsell Funnel.

3. Set up the audience segmentation
Under Audience segmentation, select the Device and the Country of the people who buy from you. Only the visits matching this segmentation reach the upsell page.

4. Set the Safe Page and the Offer Page
Enter the Offer Page URL, which here is your real upsell page, and the Safe Page URL, which should be a simpler, more generic version of the same upsell.

5. Choose the delivery method
The Safe Page and the Offer Page each have their own Delivery method: TWR Redirect, Mirror or Unpack. Redirect is the most compatible; Mirror delivers the page on the campaign URL itself, without exposing your upsell address. Each one in detail in the article about delivery methods.

6. Turn on Additional Parameter and enter the key and the value
Turn on Additional Parameter and fill in Key and Value with what you wrote down in step 1 (e.g. product_id and 12345). TWR only shows the upsell page when the visit arrives with that exact key and value. Without the parameter, or with a different value, the visit goes to the Safe Page.
Only use a parameter your platform appends on its own after the purchase. A fixed value you write into the registered URL stops being exclusive to buyers and cancels out the filtering.

7. Save and copy the campaign URL
Click Save campaign. The generated URL is the address that will replace your current upsell page.

8. Register the campaign URL in your payment platform
Replace your upsell page URL with the campaign URL, or paste it into the button that takes the buyer to the upsell. Check that the platform still appends the parameter from step 1: that's what unlocks the page.
9. Test before selling
Open the campaign URL without any parameter: you should land on the Safe Page. Then open the same URL with the parameter you configured, which TWR shows ready in the URL parameters field (e.g. example=123), and confirm your upsell page opens.
The Test Offer button, at the top of the campaign, shows the same result without having to build the URL. Turn the test off when you're done.
