Redirect Methods — Redirect, PrePage, and Mirror
The White Rabbit Redirect Methods
In this article, you’ll learn about the redirect methods in The White Rabbit, which define how your campaign access is processed and directed to the configured pages.
You’ll understand the differences between the Redirect, PrePage, and Mirror methods, and in which situations each one might be more suitable.
These methods can be configured for both the Safe Page and the Offer Page, and the choice may vary depending on the traffic source used (Facebook, Google, TikTok, etc.).
In TWR, you can choose between three main methods:
- Redirect
- PrePage
- Mirror (or iFrame)
All methods work well and can be used according to your preference.
Redirect
The Redirect method is the most well-known and widely used.
It performs a full redirection from the campaign URL to the final configured URL (for example, from the White Rabbit's domain to the safe or offer page).
When someone accesses the campaign URL, the browser briefly shows the campaign link and then the URL changes, redirecting the visitor to the final address.
This behavior is ideal for those using tracking tools (trackers) or UTM parameters, as it maintains full compatibility with any type of page.
PrePage
The PrePage (also known as Pre-Sell Page) adds an intermediate step before the visitor reaches the safe page.
This step acts as a confirmation or fully white pre-sell page, displayed only to the traffic source.
When someone accesses the campaign URL, the visitor sees a verification screen, usually with a CAPTCHA (“Confirm you are not a robot”).
After clicking Continue, they’re redirected to the configured safe page.
This method increases security and helps with ad approval, since it shows a neutral page to the platform before the safe page, reducing the risk of blocks.
Mirror (or iFrame)
The Mirror method is the most secure against spying and page copying.
It loads the safe-page content inside the verified domain, without revealing the real destination URL.
When someone accesses the campaign URL, the safe-page content is displayed inside it, and the browser address remains the same — the verified domain.
This prevents spies from copying your offer URL or sharing the real link with others.
Not all pages are compatible with the Mirror method.
Some websites (like YouTube, for instance) block iFrame display for their own security reasons.
Testing compatibility
To check if your page is compatible with the Mirror method:
- Create a test campaign.
- Set the Mirror method on the safe page.
- Insert your offer-page URL in the safe-page field.
- Access the campaign URL in the browser.
If the content loads correctly, your page is compatible.
Changing the method
After creating a campaign, it’s not possible to change the redirect method.
If you want to use another method, you’ll need to create a new campaign and select the desired method during creation.
