Main reasons for campaign redirection failure
Most Common Errors That Cause Traffic Redirection Failure
In this article, you’ll understand the most frequent mistakes that lead to traffic redirection problems, such as when there are many visits to the Safe Page and few to the Offer Page.
In more than 90% of cases, the issue is related to some incorrectly configured detail by the user.
1. Identifying if There Is Traffic Loss
1.1 Compare the Number of Clicks with the Offer Page Visits
The first step is to check whether the number of ad link clicks matches the number of Offer Page visits in your campaign.

1.2 Filter the Campaign Individually
In the White Rabbit dashboard, go to Campaigns → click on the desired campaign → open the Charts tab to view the individual graph.

1.3 Pay Attention to the Time Zone
White Rabbit operates in UTC 0, while each traffic source may use a different time zone, depending on the account or advertiser’s location.
Therefore, it’s normal for there to be small discrepancies in numbers between platforms, especially due to update delays and time zone differences.
2. Cause 1 — Incorrect Use of URL and Parameters
2.1 Use the URL and Parameters Exactly as Generated
Do not alter, remove, or edit any characters.
If the URL includes a trailing slash, keep it.
If it includes parameters, use them exactly as displayed in the dashboard.

2.2 Do Not Use Only the URL Without Parameters
Entering only the campaign URL (without parameters) in the ad will cause the traffic not to redirect properly.
2.3 When Combining URL and Parameters, Use a Question Mark “?”
Some traffic sources, such as TikTok, do not have a separate field for parameters.
In that case, add the parameters to the URL using “?” as a separator.
https://your-domain.com/?cid={{campaign.id}}&ad={{ad.id}}2.4 When Adding Extra Parameters, Use “&”
If you want to include your own tracking parameters, use the “&” symbol to concatenate them.
https://your-domain.com/?cid={{campaign.id}}&utm_source=tiktok2.5 Avoid Sharing URLs and Parameters via WhatsApp
WhatsApp can break parameters during message transmission.
Instead, copy everything to a text file and send it to the traffic manager.
3. Cause 2 — Domain Pointing Issues or Altered DNS
3.1 Test the Redirection in Your Browser
Copy the campaign URL and open it in your browser.
If the redirection correctly leads to the Safe Page, the campaign is working normally.
3.2 Check the Domain Pointing
Access the domain without the campaign hash (slug).
If the message “Access Denied” appears, it means the domain is correctly pointed to White Rabbit.

4. Cause 3 — Incorrect Country or Device Configuration
4.1 Countries
The countries selected in the campaign must match exactly the countries where you are running ads.
Example: if your ads run in the United States and Canada, both must be selected in the configuration.

4.2 Devices
Select all device types (desktop, mobile, tablet).
Limiting to just one type may cause traffic loss since different screen types may be identified as device variations.
