# How to connect your domain to The White Rabbit

To get started with The White Rabbit (TWR), you need three things: the Offer Page you want to protect, a Safe Page for unwanted visits and a domain connected to TWR. Only that domain needs to be connected: you add it in the dashboard, create a CNAME record in your DNS and validate it.

## What you need

| **Safe Page** | The page shown to unwanted visits, such as bots and spy tools | No |
| **Domain** | The address TWR uses to create your campaigns | **Yes** |

For the Offer Page and the Safe Page, you just enter each URL in the campaign. The only domain you connect to TWR is the one that will create your campaigns, and it's best to use a domain **different** from the Offer Page and Safe Page domains.

## Step by step

### 1. Open Domains and click Add domain

In the TWR side menu, click **Domains** and then **Add domain**. The **Create new domain** panel opens, already showing the setup steps.

### 2. Enter the domain with the subdomain

Type the full address, with the subdomain in front (e.g. `www.yourdomain.com`). The subdomain is what comes before the domain: it can be `www` or any other you like, such as `home` or `go`. As soon as you fill it in, TWR shows the two values of the CNAME record, each with a copy button.

| You can buy the domain from any provider, and any extension works with TWR. Even so, `.com` is recommended, because these domains tend to be more consistent when you advertise.

### 3. Create the CNAME record in your DNS panel

Open the DNS panel of the provider where you bought the domain (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Hostinger, Namecheap or another) and add a new record with the values TWR showed:

| **Type** | `CNAME` |
| **Name** | the same subdomain you entered in TWR (e.g. `www`) |
| **Target** | `connect.domains-twr.com` |

Save the record.

### 4. Save and validate the domain in TWR

Go back to TWR and click **Save domain**. The domain shows up in the list as **Invalid** at first. Click the status to validate it (or click **Validate all** in the notice above the list) and wait until it changes to **Valid**. DNS propagation usually takes just a few minutes.
